How to Maximize Chase’s The Edit Hotel Collection Benefit

With the 2025 refresh of the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase introduced a new benefit through The Edit hotel collection. Cardholders now receive two $250 credits each year when booking a two – night stay at an Edit property through the Chase Travel portal.

When this perk first launched in 2025, it was split biannually, meaning you had one credit to use in the first half of the year and another in the second. Beginning in 2026, Chase adjusted the benefit: it’s now annual, but still split into two $250 credits. The flexibility here is a big win – you can stack both credits back-to-back at the same property (helpful for a longer stay), or even apply them to a second room if you’re traveling with family or friends.

💡 Stacking Other Travel Credits

One of the best ways to stretch your Chase Sapphire Reserve benefits even further is to stack your travel credits. Starting January 1, 2026, Chase is adding another hotel credit – you’ll get up to $250 in statement credits (through December 31, 2026) on prepaid Chase Travel bookings for stays with select brands like IHG® Hotels & Resorts, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels, and Pan Pacific. Just note that these stays require a two-night minimumand won’t earn points.

On top of that, don’t forget your $300 annual travel credit, which applies to nearly any travel purchase. It’s one of the most flexible credits out there meaning you can use it for flights, hotels, car rentals, and more.

If you plan it right, you can combine all of these credits — The Edit Collection’s $250 offer, the new $250 hotel credit, and the $300 annual travel credit — to cover a big chunk of your next trip, and in some cases, almost your entire hotel stay.

Which Cards Are Eligible?

What You Get with The Edit Hotels

Unlike typical hotel bookings where you need elite status for upgrades, The Edit bookings automatically include valuable perks such as:

  • Daily breakfast for two
  • $100 property credit
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Room upgrades at select properties
  • Early check-in and late checkout (where available)

On top of that, these stays are eligible to earn hotel loyalty points and elite night credits, making this benefit even more appealing.

Things to Know Before You Book

One caveat: some travelers have noted that room rates in The Edit portal can be higher than booking directly. However, the built-in perks – plus the $250 credit – can often outweigh the difference.

Since the Chase Sapphire Reserve now carries a $795 annual fee, many cardholders in the points-and-miles world are focused on maximizing benefits to offset that cost. That’s where this perk comes in. By strategically choosing Edit hotels priced under $500 per night, you can reduce your out-of-pocket expense while still unlocking premium hotel perks that would otherwise require elite status.

I’ve put together a list of Edit properties worldwide, each priced below $500 per night (for the dates I looked at as of August 2025 – dates varied). Prices may fluctuate, but this guide will give you a solid starting point for finding value.

Important: To qualify for the credits, bookings must be made through the Chase Travel portal using your Chase Sapphire Reserve card. Always double-check the property’s cancellation policy, and note that some locations may charge additional resort fees not included in the nightly rate.
