Goodbye to Crystal Cruises?

Crystal Cruises likely will not be able to recover in the cruise industry.

Two Crystal Ships Seized

In early February, two Crystal Cruise ships were seized by warrant in relation to $1.2M in unpaid fuel bills. The Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony cruise ships were arrested in the Bahamas (self-rerouted from Miami) while passengers were debarked at the port of Bimini.

Already Booked? Here’s What to Expect for Refunds

From its website, Crystal Cruises says they “continue to process refunds as quickly as possible, however, there are delays from the credit card processors as they are receiving a very high volume of refund requests. We are in communication with the credit card processors to make sure the refunds can be released as soon as possible. Please note that chargebacks are contributing to slower refund processing.”

The company has also paused its call center until further notice.
